McTot’s is a playgroup, offering short half day openings as follows:

There is an English Lunch Club between 12:00 and 13:00, where children bring their own packed lunch. This is run separately from McTot’s and does not constitute part of our structured morning programme. Please note that we do not do any cooking on our premises.
Please note that McTot’s is not a full time Kinderkrippe/Nursery. Parents looking for full time day care should look elsewhere.

Philosophy
We believe that every child is unique. We believe in the value of positive reinforcement, active listening and working in tandem with you and your child.
Activities
We offer a range of different learning activities as singing, dancing, role play, books and stories, home corner, drawing, gluing, general crafts, puzzles, construction toys, sand play, …
As a general framework, we use the early learning goals for young children, as outlined in the UK National Curriculum for the Foundation Level. These areas of learning are as follows:
Personal, Social and Emotional Development Communication, language and literacy Mathematical development Knowledge and understanding
Creative Development Physical Development
We do incorporate as many elements of the framework as possible into our planned activities.
Free Play
Free play is crucial to the child as it provides many of the experiences and interaction necessary for the child’s healthy intellectual, emotional and social development. It allows the child freedom to explore and make sense of his or her ever-changing world, to solve problems and to follow his or her curiosity.
Free Play is therefore an important part of McTot’s activities. Our role is to create the right environment, provide the stimuli and equipment and to gently observe as new adventures unfold. Help is on hand of course, if required!
Insurance
Parents must provide for any insurance coverage (medical/health, accident and third party)
Costs
50 chf per morning session (09:00– 12:00)
12 chf for each English Lesson Lunch Club (12:00 – 13:00)
There is a one off, non returnable joining fee of CHF 200.-
We provide a healthy mid morning snack of seasonal fruit and bread.
We provide nappies (Pampers).
Your child can attend playgroup from one to five mornings a week. We recommend at least twice a week.
